We were in US Toys picking up TOT whistles, and we saw this really cool heart that has a color change feature. They had it 20% off, so I got it for around $4.50.
I was going to put it on our eats table on a bloody platter.
DH is going to be a mad scientist for our party, and I was lamenting that we didn't have any really good props for him, as we ran out of time as far as building stuff for the party.
DH plays the violin. I asked him if he had his metronome handy. It's an electronic one with a blinking red light on the top, little dials and a beeping timekeeper instead of the traditional clicking and side to side ones.
I found a couple of wires that came with the heart as the "Try me" button for the light show, and glued them onto the heart, hooked them onto the metronome, and cranked it up.
It looks and sounds as if the heart is beating, and looks fantastic! Under $5, and we have a lovely mad scientist wired-up heart!
