Will kind of medium lit.... Not too bright but light enough to see the lockers and see the doors opening and shutting. The Walls are creamy beige.... so what light there is will be a light intensified. I think this will be a great effect if I get it all working out right.

Bumping this up.....
I now need to trigger this event !
I have wiper motors to use but I'm open to using another type of motor if it would work out better.
I would like to trigger it by either a pressure mat or a motion sensor. But I need help in HOW to do this.
thanks everyone for any input. I'm needing help in this department.

Sounds like you'll need to time this effect. How long should the motor run? You can use a PIR to start the effect and turn on the motor power, but you need some way to turn it off. Some PIRs have a "Test" function that runs for a few secs, but the sensor may be able to be re-triggered right away. Since wiper motors use ~5 amp power supplies, a mat switch may not be a good way to go - most can handle up to 24VDC at 1 amp. Let me know what you want the effect to do.
I...have many names...

I agree with suburban ghoul, you need some type of positive attachment like the eye bolt or better yet a ball joint.
As for decorating you might try some grafitti not enough to cover the old finish but enough to make it look like an old rundown deserted locker room.
Finally, Otaku has some good advice, I second his suggestion to use some type of prop controller that will allow you to control the start, run and delay times between triggers. there are a number of good ones out there for $50-60

Well for timing, I would want this to run for about 7-8 seconds then shut off.
We have a guided walk thru haunt.
I'm not SET on the wiper motor, so I can use what ever would work best..... I'm just thinking wiper motor, 'cause thats what I have on hand.
