Anybody have experience with the Sprawling delusions controller? Like the fact that it comes with sound although it may not sound that great.

Are you saying you're getting bad sound quality? You may be overdriving the ISD chip; they don't sound great when you do this. Reduce the volume being pumped into it when you record to see if that solves the problem.

Don't have the controller yet. Just curious about the performance.

You would be correct...the ISD chips are not even near CD or mp3 quality...As jonnymac has stated on these device...If you overdrive the input while recording you will get too much distortion.

Can't say i have used the SD keybanger...a simular unit would be the peekaboo and the gilderfluke minibricks (no sound)

Or an EFX-TEK Prop-1 / AP-8 combo... ( wink )

We use the ISD chip on the AP-8 so we have experience with it. As Halloweenguy points out, these are not CD or MP3 quality, but they are very low cost and work well in non-critical applications. When audio quality is paramount we like to use the Rogue uMP3 as it can be intelligently controlled from a device like our Prop-1 or Prop-2.

Sadly, the Audio Key Banger is no longer available.
But you can still buy the none audio version.

Ya no audio anymore, but I am going to hook mine up to a k74 relay board and use it
to control a small mp3 player.

Change of mind key bangers are 24v which k74 relays are 12v
I will have to build my own board.

Here is something worth looking at....Looks like our friends at EFX-TEK are getting ready to releasing thier own keybanger at Transworld 8 channels for $100 :-)

Looks good!So I'm new to the amaimated end of props I have a talking bucky I made and and a peeper and stirring witch so a newbie to this end but my question is what does this really do?is it like a timer?or a servo controller or..does it replace the board I have in the talking bucky for the servo?could you shed some light on this and others of your boards for us newbies so we can figure out what we want or need and whats just nice.
