Besides, tombstones with "regular" names or phrases don't mean anything to anyone. Any effect or reaction is lost; they're just tombstones. No one is going to get scared by anything written on a foam tombstone in a front yard.

But put a little imagination and fun into it...
    Wait... Did you hear that?

    Yeah, ok.
    I get it now.

But what about Mr. Pumpkinrot? There is no humor whatsoever in his yard haunt.

Well, I like both black and dark humor, but most people are repulsed by those kinds of humor.

EDIT: Oh, and Halloween Town humor, whatever that kind is.

    (Heh heh heh)

    Default epitaphs

I always found cute messages on tombstones to detract from a haunt that 's trying to be scary. If you're going for creepy and eerie, you probably shouldn't have a tombstone that reads "Frank N. Stein." I agree with Scarecrow that if Pumpkinrot had funny messages on their tombstones it would seriously ruin the effect. But it's all about what a haunter is aiming for. I personally LOVE to read creative tombstone puns. I think it has become a Halloween tradition.

Does anyone do "dirty" tombstome puns, and if so how do they go over?
