Default Toxic Waste Dump

Ok, I am thinking about making a toxic waste dump for 06. Right now two ideas come to mind. One is a bunch of barrels maked toxic, hazardous etc. and have some kind of liquid running out of some of them and a pop up in one. The second is to have a vat of some kind of bubbling liquid and have a blucky come up out of it as if it was acid. Anyone heard of seen something similar? Any ideas for making a large quanity of "toxic" liquid?

Default Toxic

Cool idea.
How about the vats leaking into the ground with tombstones nearby.
Reanimating the dead.
Reminds me of that old tv series based on the WAR OF THE WORLDS movie, where the aliens were stored in metal drums after they "died" from the earth bacteria. Later, some toxic waste (which was being stored in barrels stacked on top of them) leaked and reanimated them.

Would mixing up a ton of green colored gelatin work for the toxic waste? I heard that knox gelatin dries very firm and clear, but looks wet and fluid-like.

Personaly I think half barrels of steel all crusted and rusted and ancient looking would seem scarier than any plastic drums. I know this would be Pre-Toxic emblem with the hooked pointy logo that does seem to imply nastiness and aggressiveness.
Show the nasty liquid then kill the lights and have a "Splatter" effect with mere water just actually a mist that could touch people's faces.
If it was a guided tour the tour guide could seemingly take the brunt of the mist-explosion and morf into a monster.
A famous guillotine scene in London does this lights -out, splatter effect rather well, I have heard.

I do a biohazard room in my walk thru maze. When the victims enter the room they see "Bob" stanging there in a full biosuit, surrounded by drums fuming and biohazard bags. "Bob" has his back to the guests, when triggered he turns and looks at them with a skull head and eyes that glow yellow/green. He is holding a wand[3" pvc pipe] as he turns the wand shoots fog right at the victims. Inside the wand is a red halogen bulb, makes the fog glow red.when Bob is done a light shines on the 5'skeleton bat overhead, for just a couple of seconds. then lights out, on to the next room

We have trailer races at Meridian Speedway (Meridian/Boise, Idaho) and one of the participants always has toxic barrels on their trailer. They spray "Right Stuff" that "bubbles" down the sides of the barrels and paint it with neon green paint. They put a dummy standing inside the barrel and of course the usual hazard signs. It looks pretty good at about 60 mph going around the track! Lol.

Great ideas! Gym like the mist/splatter idea!! Skulkin not familar with "right stuff" is that like great stuff? Rainy, bio suit not that is a great idea......

Not sure what to use for the toxic soup, saw a couple of good suggestions on here, one was to use tempra paint, corn starch and water.

Looks like an air blower from a hot tub would make for a great bubbling effect

Scareisburg you could use some Florescent dye, like I got off of eBay for use in my lab glass, to color your water.
The listing claims “Each vial will vividly color up to 2 LITERS of tap water!!”
Based on my use of the product you could probably color between one and two gallons of water and still get a nice glow. For a 12 oz beaker I only needed an eye dropper full to get a nice glow.

The seller’s last sale is listed here. There aren’t any currently on sale but you could contact the seller to see when his next auction will be.

another tought. Have alternating props. As one goes down the other comes up. One would be dressed (as in the before) and the other just a skelton (the after).

last year we did a "toxic" room with 55 gal. steel barrels. it was in Chromadepth 3D. One barrels was built to have a pop up and another was about 80% full of water with a rock garden fountain pump in the bottom. I think the hot tub air pump scareisburg talked about may do better. In ours, the sound of the water sloshing and splashing was really freaky, along with all the other stuff in the room.

Oops, got Right Stuff mixed up with Great Stuff. Right Stuff is used on the racecar. Great Stuff is used on Halloween props.
