Here's the list of Halloween items I received, for my birthday last week and Christmas this weekend. As an interesting side note, this is the first time I've had any Nightmare Before Christmas stuff... I think since my non-Halloween friends and family knew I would like Halloween stuff, they felt like they still needed to mix an element of Christmas into the gift. An interesting observation I think.
Did anyone else get any Halloween related items as gifts this year?
Merry Halloween everyone!
Jim

Sure did.
I got a 22' ladder that bends into 28 positions. I know many might not see this as a Halloween item, but it will help get all that stuff up on the house.

Only one flicker bulb, sorta cheesy candlabra from Cracker Barrel. Not what I was hoping for from the hints. I did get some cash, which will probably find its way into some props.

I took my gorilla suit and put it on a mannequin, pinned a Santa hat on it and surrounded it with purple rope lights at his feet (paws)... he has been out in the front yard for a week until today.
I plan on sticking him out later this week with a party hat and sash...at some point on New Years Eve, I am putting him face down in the yard with an empty champagne bottle.Arrrrgh! ...why are you not scared?

And a few weeks after New Years you can have him standing in the front yard with a paternity test and a shocked look!
Amazing what you find out after a party. ;-)A short drop and a sudden stop.

All I got was a nose trimmer. And no battery.

I got quite a few tools to help with projects next year: 10" table saw, 10" drill press, new B&D sander, laser level, air compressor, storage for all my small parts.

My wife got me a Craftsman router for Christmas. I have been wanting one for a while. She smiled and said, "Now you can build those mailboxes for my classroom!"
I knew she was up to something.
