Ok, here is where I am, this method doesn't allow the door to open. Do I have it too high on the door?

Is it me, or does the retract line look a little short for that?

Anyway, I would have suggested a shorter fishingline which runs from the aluminum thing by the rats front feet to about the same height on door. The ultra simple way would be put a padded bumper on the metal track the rat is fastened to, then just rubberband or bungie cord to close door. Or for more difficult, you can just do a straight linkage out of like coathanger or something, but that you'd have to be more accurate with lengths and bends.

Hey I did scare our water guy ( I work with him ) on a day I got home before he delivered to my house! I set up my Trash Can Trauma by the front door (I'm laughing at the thought of it now ) and just as he got up to my door I hit the switch! He almost dropped the case and 5 gallon bottle he was carrying and stumbled backwards! I love scaring people!!!
