Question Facade Ideas?

I'm looking for ideas for a false front for our garage that will mesh with our yard cemetary. My husband has a production co. so the cemetary is very elaborate and quite realistic. I purchased a huge oil treated canvas tarp last year that covers the entire front of our 2 stall garage. I hastily painted a stone doorway and windows on it but I feel that it don't go well with the rest of the yard and want to repaint it.
Any suggestions, pics ect...???? Oh, it is also the enterance to our haunted garage maze.

Shadow,

Do you have a theme going on in your haunted maze?

Something like this would work

I copy this for my Indy Jones theme for last year. I made it all out of foam boards, but I had 3 stacks (FREE) of foam like this to work with.

You could paint the blocks on your tarp and get a couple sheets of foam board to make the pillars.

Hey Shadow Dancer, Mastahh had a pretty good idea of caging off the from of their garage and putting their FCG behind it. I thought it was a good idea and looked pretty cool. Check out this forum link:

You could modify it so it only takes up half the garage door and the rest could be used for your maze entrance.

They were building on to a movie theater and I asked for it

I was checking out what was on so I could take my boys to see a movie and saw the HUGE dumpster full of this. The first guy I asked said no!, So, I went to the boss and explained what I needed it for. He said, to take all I wanted that was in the dunpster, but do it on a Sunday when they weren't working. If I had more room I could have 2x the amount I took. This foam board is made for sound proofing and it came in 8 foot by 4 foot by 4 foot blocks. So I got some 8 foot sheets 6 inches thick. I have 7 or 8 blocks that are 4 foot by 3 foot by 3 foot. I used a spare bedroom to store all of it and it was stacked from the floor to the ceiling over 3/4 of the room.

If you ask, and explain what you need other peoples junk/trash for most people will give it to you. Wait till you see the pictures of the dumpsters at 2 of the thrift stores I get to take stuff from. You wont believe your eyes when you see what I get out of those dumpsters.

Ooogiboogie the only picture I took from last year is this one and it almost cost me to give up on haunting. As a matter of fact I was so mad because I couldn't finish my haunt last year. That I gave at least 60% of my toys (Halloween stuff) away to a guy in Ind. Then my neighbors begged me to keep doing the haunt. Last year I framed up 6 rooms on the back of my house and a 12x20 room on the front of my garage, for my haunt. And all of that work was a waste because I stuck a 3 inch dry wall screw through my hand on Oct 12th.

The small dot is where the screw went in. The sticthes are from the surgery to repare the nerve damage.
