I went to a local Radio Shack to buy some LEDs and resistors, and when the parts were rung up, the cashier said that since they were from the parts section, they were 50% off. I am not sure when this deal expires, but it may help some of you.

Yeah, I picked up some on that deal last weekend. 50% off is great!!

Depends where you get them and if the salesperson knows about the sale. Went to two different stores in the same market. One gave the discount, the other did not.

Radio Shack is said to be getting more and more out of the parts department, which is a shame.

Yeah, Radio Shack here is basically worthless.

We got a new mall 20 years ago, and another new one 2 years ago...and they never left the first mall. They were the last store there until it was torn down last year, and they re-opened in the same "hood" and focus on selling phones, beepers and car stereo stuff. At Christmas, they do load up on crappy remote control cars and handheld versions of card games.

They have very little essential electronic parts at all. I had better luck at Kmart.

The first radio shack told me about the sale. The second one rang me up at full price, then i told him about the sale and he was like "oh yeah..." and gave me my discount.. If the sale is still running, I'll hit another store up in my area and buy a few more.
