Default Skeletons at Safeway!

Anyone looking for a last minute skeleton? I saw a 6 foot skellie on sale for $24.99 in our flyer today It looks a little cleaner than the one I got at Shoppers Drug Mart - but for everyone in the US, the Safeways are available! Then you get to do all the painting and effects yourself. Which, I personally think is the best part

Are they blow molded or kinda ok/decent? Either way, you could still get a nice corse out of it.

If they're blow molded thats not a good price. If they're like a bucky thats a killer price. Unfortunatly Safeway is defunct here in so cal, tho i think they were bought out by another chain. So maybe they'd have them, tho i don't know which chain it is.

oh man are they terrible, I got one and it reeked, like some nasty plastic smell. Anyways, I took it out of the box and the quality was terrible, the hooks were falling out of the bones, the paint flakes off when you touch it, and in my opinon they are a waste of money. although they are detailed... so ist a 50% good 50% bad.

sincerly,
Phantom.

I had the same problem with the Safeway Skeletons. My first one the neck was broken, so I took it back. The second one was missing hooks and the hook in the skeleton head fell out. So I went back and complained and convinced them to give me two for the price of one so I could at least make one complete skeleton. Of course, I didn't tell them Ill use the extra bones and parts in my graveyard [}]

So I ended up getting two of the Safeway Skeletons for the $25. Figure I cannot lose at $12 each.

I got 2 and both were broken but I just glued them back. They are better than the blow mold. Its a paper mache like "crust" over syrofoam with a hard foam core. I'm satisfied with them...

Oooops ~ sorry guys...I had no idea that they would be so crappy. Thanks to everyone for setting the record straight. I guess it would depend on what you wanted to do with it.

Glad to know i'm not the only one who returned the skeleton. On the way into safeway i got a few weird looks because i was carrying a box with a skeleton picture on the side of it [8D]

sincerly,
Phantom.
