Default Another fantastic scarecrow...

Hi gang, I know that everyone here has seen the pumpkinrot scarecrow and all the wonderful props this guy has created. We've all drooled over them and many have tried their hand at making a scarecrow too (including me). I sent John a quick email through his site a while back telling him how much everyone here loves his work and invited him over. He's not much into posting but I assured him that lurking is okay too. He was thrilled to hear that we appreciate his talent.

He sent me an email today with a link to this year's scarecrow and I asked his permission to share it with you. This is a movie clip and it may take a little time to load but trust me, it is well worth it!

I asked John to update me when he had the competition pics added to the site. His scarecrow came in third to a gnome (which is good but...) and another scarecrow (too cutesy)
He also had a witch in another competition and she only got honorable mention. Who are these judges anyway?? Next year he promises to "offend and disgust" LOL You go John!!

You can see the pics here: http://www.pumpkinrot.com/pages/Page9.htm

I told him I'd post the pics here and let the REAL Halloween people be the judges!

Both of his creations are really well done! The scare crow is really creepy!

They need some new judges! That knome was cool, but the other one??? Maybe his designs are just too scary looking for the contest?

He is definitely an inspiration for the home haunter. I can’t wait to see what this years haunt is going to look like.

it was probably mentioned in some earlier posts that I may have missed, but how does he make those corpses? Some kind of paper mache?
