nyhaunter, you might want to replace the battery connector. They sell them at Radio Shack. Just cut the old one off and solder the new wires to the wires coming off the LEDs.

For something easy you can use the fade in fade out eyes from a mask called the gauze zombie or gauze ghoul or ghoul or somthing like that.

For my ghost's eyes I used these: http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...5Fid=276%2D307

They work great and I just slodred two together and pluged them directly up to a 9v battery.

Can anyone tell me approx how long the leds will last when hooked up to a 9 volt battery?
I hooked mine up this weekend, and I had to duct tape the head shut to attach it. I don't want to have to get back in there to unhook the battery and then rehook.

You'll poke your eye out

If you knew the current supply/draw specs of both the battery (in mAh) and the LED+resistor (in mA) you could calculate it. For example, a 250mAh supply would power a 40mA draw for 6.25 hours. (in a perfect world)

Alkaline batteries are best for low-current extendeded usage. Lithium batteries are just the opposite, best for limited use high current, like a photo flash.

Also, you'd likely get considerably longer life by using multiple AA cells instead of a single 9V cell.
