Default Electrical Power Help

Hi all
I'm new to prop building and need some help. I'm working on a stump jumper prop from deviousconcoctions site. Part of this prop requires that you connect one end of a solenoid valve(smc part#NVFS20003FZ02T)
to an external power source and the other end to an air source. The air source is no problem, but I cannot figure out what type of power supply to use for the electrical entry. The power is what lowers the prop from it's raised position. If you look inside the valve, there are four lead wires (red,brown.black.white). How do you connect these wires and what type of power source do you use??

Thanks

RJ

RJ,

Do you have the wiring instructions for that solenoid? It sounds like it could be set-up for three phase power, which I can't imagine you need for that gag. You should only need a regular old 110/120 volt outlet to run something like that. Let me know if you have any info on the solenoid...

I just got some SMC solenoids off EBay today and happeded to be looking at their site for info on what I got. http://www.smcusa.com. Go to the E-Tech link. You will have to register... but you can then search for the part number. I checked it and the 3 seems to designate 110v but couldnt find a wiring diagram. If I were you I'd contact Devious for assistance.
