Default What kind of glue?

I want to glue a rubber bat to my Dracula tombstone for decoration. What kind of glue should I use? Will construction adhesive work? The tombstone is foam that is already painted with latex.

I've used liquid nails to glue foam board pcs. together, but I don't know if it will work with the tombstone already painted. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I agree with blackwidow, I would go with Liquidnail first and see what your results are. If that doesn't do the job, you can always go with Gorilla Glue. Just make sure to use it sparingly...it's a polyurethane type of glue and it has foaming characteristics. If Liquidnail doesn't work, this certianly will.

Does anyone know of anything stronger than liquid nails?

We've had a room in our haunt where we put rubber cockroaches on the walls as part of the effect, but even when we use liquid nails to stick them on, customers still find a way to pull them off the walls. We've tried other types of adhesives but nothing seems to work that well. Any Ideas?

You could put vaseline or something with a stickier texture on the cockroaches to deter people from touching them. If people are pulling them off when you use liquid nails, they are probably going to try no matter what you use.

We've always used vaseline on it.. but for some reason people are just determined to get these as little trophies of their visit or something.

Is it a temperary wall for halloween? If so try screwing them down. Then just dab some putty on top of the screw head and paint it to hide it.

Hmm, the problem is that the cockroaches are probably softer and easier to tear than the wall or the material used to hold them down.

No matter what you try, they'll try to rip them up anyway. I say put tobasco sauce on them so you get them later when they touch their eyes or something. Screws might help, because they will practically have to destroy them to get them off, but they probably will do so anyway.

Put crazy glue on them. That way when they touch them and touch there fingers together... Bonds skin instantly, you will know who the purps are. YOu could also wire them all up to give a low voltage shock(I know, I know, everyone but me is against this, but if it wont hurt a puppy...) Stick a few real cockarouches there too, they can survive a week with no head I dont think a nail will do much.

Haha, good idea about the real ones, Crazy.
Of course, you want to put those up a little higher so only the teenagers that would destroy this kind of thing for fun would reach for.
