What does the first one do? I also think the strobe is a littl eoverpriced, cheaper at a store. I have the phsyco strobe, and It look sthe same to me but cost about 20. Although it is now being held together with duck tape. If you have the money and see a use go for it.

It rotates when the lights are on. It's called a helicopter light. I think it will look good with the colored lenses.

Ok, it's time for me to admit that I love disco lighting, or plasma balls, or any sort of colored, blinking, flashing, crazy lighting! My room is filled with all sorts of crazy lights! I even have the stupid things rigged up to a remote control. I think every plug in my room is filled, and I've got like 6 bar strips! Well now that I've come clean to you all about my light addiction....

Those are all cool, but I the prices may be a bit high, or atleast I think the becon is. I personally like the helicopter light! Those things look great when they're in action!

Check out this link...

It lists a bunch of sites that sell lighting equipment. Maybe you can find it all a little cheaper, or other stuff you want. There's a lot of AMAZING lights for your $150 price range.

Just outa curiosity, where were you planning on gettin these?

My kids were ordering a bunch of stuff from UStoy catalog and I found them in there.Maybe I'll shop around a little more. The shipping will be free on the entire order so that may explain the higher prices. So it may be a wash after all even if they're a little cheaper somewhere else.

YOu say your rlighting is all on control, is it hooked up to a DMX system? I like lighting too. I have a multi direction disco ball that I got for 20 or 30 bucks at KB toys. It has lasted for a while, the thing is the colered things can fall out if its bumped so you should glue them in. I like DJ equiptment even though I dont DJ, It is fun stuff. TO make your collection complete you need a pair of those automated search lights that pan acroos the sky. I think they cost about as much as a small house, but they would be a great addition.

I love all that DJ equipment type stuff, and no I don't DJ either. I wish I could afford a DMX system. I've got it all rigged up to a wireless appliance controller system from Radioshack. Nothing too fancy, but it's a TON cheaper than a DMX system.

Yah, you dont really "need" a DMX system. Then again you dont really need anything besides food water and sometimes shelter.

Exactly... I don't NEED one. Though I sure wouldn't mind a good excuse to get one!

YOu could also probably get some of those Parallel port relay board kits and use those. There was this thing on some TV show a year ago around christmas. This guy sets up this awsome light display which runs off custom made computers. I am jewish but have alway loved christmas lights in the snow. Our neighbors do a good display and my parents let me set them up if I pay for them, which I rarely do.
