Default Army of Darkness

I would like to build an Army of Darkness like the one displayed in the link below:

http://thehorrordome.com/HDPROPS/ArmyofDarkness.htm

However, I don't have the funds to buy the ones that they advertise on the website. All I have are three of those yellowish colored blown plastic skeletons that come in a bag. Is there an easy way to make them more realistic[?][?]

Corpse them with paper towels and latex. Go the cheap route and use latex paint or latex carpet glue instead of mask making latex.

You can make the skeletons taller by adding a piece of PVC below the rib cage. You can build up the skull, arms, pelvis, ribs, or legs to make it larger by hot gluing thin layers of soft foam (couch cushion) or blanket matting. Then corpse it.

Madmax,

You always come up with such valuable information. Thanks! I'm gonna get started on them first thing in the morning.

Empress...Madmax educated me in another thread about the difference in mask latex and carpet latex. You should probably know that the carpet latex takes forever to dry, that's why I stuck with the mask latex...I'm impatient!

The carpet latex does take a few days to dry that is if you can leave them hanging in the sun (weeks if you can't). But that isn't a problem for me.

The latex paint will dry faster and you can thicken it up with baking soda or flour (just like making gravy) but I like the look and price (8 dollars) of the carpet latex.

Here's a Big Lots 8 dollar skeleton I did by dipping paper towels in the latex glue and staining while the latex is wet. It's not great but I didn't need a great corpse because big rats were all over it

(edit) I read on another board that mask making latex is going up at least $10.00 a gallon by the 1st of next month. So if anyone is going to buy the mask making latex, you better get it soon.

Staining them sounds awesome and I know that they would look awesome, as well. However, they will be in my yard surrounding an old twenty + gallon rusty tin barrel that I'm creating a fire effect in. Also, the yard will be lit by red flood lights. Won't the army be too dark and harder to see if I stain them?
