Default Can Cobweb Fluid be made?

I bought a Cobwebbing Machine from HHEffects.com two years ago and never used it. I also bought their cobwebbing fluid, but it is unusable at this point.
Can cobweb fluid be made? On one of the websites on the MonsterList, they had instructions on how to make a spinner and to use rubber cement. Is that basically what cobweb fluid is? And what about solvent?

Apparently rubber cement works but it is a littl epricy and has some nasty fumes when it is wet. Make sure you have a suitable mask on if you are using it indoors. And it will probably be hard to remove the rubber cement. What happened to the fluid you have for it?

Crazy, it's two years old and when I turned the bottle upside down, it wouldn't move...LOL!

Maybe I should stick with the same kind that I bought on the internet, huh? If rubber cement is pricey, it might be more cost effective to purchase the real cobweb fluid online.

The thing about rubber cement is it could possibly clog the thing up. I wouldnt be surprisedif cob web fluid was just rubber cement.

did you try contacting the company to see if they have any suggestions... it might be worth a shot who knows they might even send you a bottle of replacement web fluid.

There is a fine line between genious and insanity... its about 5 miles back.

That's a great idea about writing the company. I will do that. Thanks

With the exception of Terror by Design all other web fluids are just rubber cement. TBD sells a non-flamable version.

Speaking from experience it is very easy to remove. Since it shoots out in find strands it is mostly dry by the time it contacts the surface.

rweso,

I thought that the fluid I bought from HHeffects was probably rubber cement since I did test the spinner out when I first got it and must have left a little in the compartment. When I opened it, there was a glob of rubber that was on the lid. But, is it cost effective to get rubber cement or order the cobweb fluid?

I guess you would have to price around. I think I pint of the fluid is something like $25. Not sure how much a pint of rubber cement is.

I would not recommend using a rubber cement based fluid indoors, meaning your home, clean up will require a solvent and damage to painted/stained surfaces is likely. I have also used TBD, flame retardant, solvent based fluid. Clean up was easy. a little touchup paint was required on a sheet rock well I was to close to when spraying, but hey, touchup painting is always required after a good party.

The solvent based fluid, however, doesn't hold up as well outdoors due to the elements, sun, wind, rain.
