I have figured out a way to make a great, easy, and inexpensive paper mache hand prop. I don't know if this has been posted already, but I thought it was fun and neet, so I am posting it.
This is what I did.
Items needed:
latex gloves
flower
elastic band
your favorite paper mache recipe
I filled a latex glove with flower (to give it the solidness needed to form the paper around it) and put an elastic around the end of the glove to close it.
Then I coverd it with the paper mache and hung it to dry.
When it was dry, I took off the elastic, emptied out the flower and carefully pulled the glove out. The great thing about this, is that you can reuse the glove to make another hand, or you can use as many gloves at a time as you like.
I will post pictures of the process in my photo album.
I don't have the hand that I made painted yet, but I can post pics of it as I go.
I'm just a little strange, just a little.

Sounds too easy, that's what I love about it! Think I'll add that to my "to do" list for next year...
