Thread: Question about singing door mats

I found these singing door mats at walgreens and wanted to know if anyone has ever tried to convert this type of mat to use on a prop. They are only &6.00. Didn't know if it would be worth the time to mess with or not. I don't have any props like this for this year, but am looking at next year. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

The mat is simply two conductors that make contact when stepped on to act as a switch for whatever the mat triggers. All you need to do is see where the contacts wires are. However, they are probably enclosed in the mat requiring surgury. If you have any electronics apptitude and are handy it should be easy. Besides, all you have to lose is $6.
