    Hello all,
I posted this on another forum but figured this would probably be the best spot to try. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a lighting effects machine. It's a small machine that you can insert a CD into, plug your lamps into it and it makes the lamps flicker to whatever sounds you have on the CD. I really wanted to get one for our Halloween party but can't find one now.
    Thanks in advance!

I built my own "Color organ" from a kit last year and used it for simulated lightning. I just did a quick google and all I have found are kits.

I saw something at walmart that I can't wait to get ahold of tho. It's an 8 channel light controler for Christmas lights. It has 19 preset programs and looks to be weatherproof. Have to get a look at the manual and see what the ratings are tho. It has 8 seperate grounded outlets. I'm just imagining the chase effect and the hundreds of uses.

I bought one! It is only 6 channels but it is rated for up to 3 amps per channel The only drawback is that it runs your chosen show for 60 seconds and then goes into all lights on mode for 30 seconds before starting the program again. This thing can run 6- 18 foot ropelights on each channel, thats 36 rope lights! You can use it to control 2 floodlights per channel or up to 9 40 watt bulbs. Can't wait to put this one into action.

$28.83 plus tax. It isn't in any way controled with sound but it does work well. I haven't found the one that Phantom mentioned but that sounds like it would be easy enough to modify. The one I found is in the Christmas section and is called "DIGITAL decorating instant light show" and it's made by (NOMA). Still new enough it has a "Patent Pending" on the box.

    Hope that helps.
