I just randomly had an idea, but I don't know how to pull it off. I'd like to have my white two-stall garage look like it is green slimed. In my head, I am picturing glow in the dark paint with a black light flood to light it up (it might get enough sun to work).

There is some texturing to the door, but I am wondering if some sort of adhesive vinyl cut out or the like would work? I could also use cardboard, but we get so much rain and cold in the fall it would get beat up pretty quick. Any thoughts on how to pull this off?

Thanks!

If you want to go the painted route, go with these plastic sheet idea with the paint being on the back side. If it's a clear plastic sheet, doing it this way will give it a wet look via reflection. Could even use black light paint and a light. If you go the projector route, use animated slime. No need in running a projector for just a still image.

I covered mine in foam sheets so it looks like a crypt using magnets to hold it to the door. If you cut out plastic in the shape of the slime trails you could lay it out on the door. However remember as the door opens the surface area increases because of the gaps between the panels so you will need some method to hold it in place that accounts for the movement.

I think I am going to try to not project due to overall costs. Last year, I did do a Gemmy flying ghosts projection, but with light pollution it didn't work as awesome as I had hoped.

Doing something with magnets might work ok. We get a lot of sun, so I am wondering if even just glow in the dark paint would work...We have windows on our garage door, so I could do several smaller globs coming out from the bottom of the windows.

I will start looking for a plastic-like material to use. Hopefully I can find a shade of green and add the glow in the dark effect. Thanks!
