Still haven't finished, but pretty much there. In the past I've waited til the day of (super paranoid about vandals), but this year I decided it's too much work and too much fun for 1 day, so I started on Saturday.
New this year and a feature I really love due to the glowing coals tutorial is the witch. Real cast iron cauldron that's been rusting in the yard for 24 years, put my Boy Scout knots/lashings to use on the apparatus:
A modified fly-and-moo ghost. He looks kinda sad without his arms, but fanning out the cheesecloth created too much wind resistance for the little motor. He flies over the sidewalk between the front porch and a tree:
And the stones.
Added more lighting this year; last year I only had 1 floodlight on the ground. That created a great mood, but the shadows cast obscured a lot of the stones, so I added down-lighting this year to offset that. It's not as bright as the long-exposure night shots make it look, and there'll be fog on the big night.
Will add more photos as I finish up. Still need to get my fence up, and the strobes, and I'll have final photos with the fog going.
