I'm planning on making something i haven't seen around yet.
If someone did made a project as this one tips & help is always welcome.
The basic idea is an chandelier with levetating candles(LED) for in the livingroom.
Here is a quick drawing of it (google sketchup).
When it's ready i will also post a step by step of it.

Well, to offer advice, I am not sure what you will be hanging them with. My only concern is that something translucent, such as fishing line, has certain fibre optic qualities and may draw too much of the light if it is too dark in the room, making it less fun. Maybe thread?
That and I suppose being sure to hide or cover the bottoms of the candles, if they are the ones with switches down there. They aren't exactly hidden, since most people are not clever enough to come up with such a cool reason to see the bottoms of the candles.

I like this idea! Maybe use a black thread to hang them?
How about using an FCG mechanism to make them float up and down.
Can't wait to see what you come up with!

I am gonna use a FCG like mechanism.
Probably with fishing line i have numorous types so one should do the trick.
I'm thinking off using rubber caps to mask the switches on the bottom side of the candles.
I hope i can start building this week beacause i'm dong two project at once. I'm also building a moving/swinging tombstone.

I've done this for several years and as long as it's very calm, it is spectacular.
