I just pulled my great stuff skull out of a mold(one of skull ice molds). It came out pretty good. Not perfect, but I am not looking for perfect. Anyways, what type of paint can I use on this? Spray, latex, etc. My goal is to make a bunch of these and make a skull wall with them. I was thinking on maybe doing a black light wall or maybe corpse them like on Alen's how to with the plastic trash bags.

Cool idea. Latex/acrylic works well on GreatStuff. I painted a 2 foot by 6 foot slab of GreatStuff last September, and its held up well (no cracking or peeling). I did let it cure for a week before applying the paint, though. Partly to give it time to outgas and shrink, and partly because I was busy with other things. Didn't try any spray paints.

I used Krylon Spray Paint on mine with no problems. I used the great stuff as dirt and used the "camoflauge" paint.

I like it! Good idea. What did you use for the mold?

I apologize for not remembering which forum member used the reverse side of blow mold skulls to fill with plaster to create endless, cheap skulls that had great details.
You can try your mold with plaster (and some cheese cloth material within layers of plaster for strength), you'd probably get nice details on it. I think plaster would be cheaper than great stuff per cc. The down side is plaster would be brittle and it will be heavier.

As for painting great stuff, I've found almost any latex paint will work. You may need a few coats to get the results what you want. I use the cheap latex craft bottles from dollar stores for all my painting (except air brush)

I am using great stuff beacuse these are going on a wall and I want to keep the weight down.
