Halloween Asylum has some new props posted on youtube.
There are a number of shaking/trembling props such as;
I was wondering how that was done. High RPM motor, with short crank shaft?
Any ideas?

Guessing it's using a vibration motor. Not very familiar with them but it's the same philosophy of the vibration unit inside cell phones. Here's a link to one at Grainger but no idea on what specs you need or if this is too big or too small: http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/DAY...120201144411:s

they are made with any mototor with a arm attached to the shaft, then a weight attached to that. as it spins it shifts the weight from one side to the other.

I'm not sure if a vibrating motor or an off weight centrifuge would duplicate that movement.
The prop is laying down so the side to side movement may get caught with friction of the prop on the table.
I guess I'd have to PoC to find out.
I think it's a cool effect for a lab or autopsy patient on a medical table.Doctor Grim

I looked at it, I was at the show talked to Ed, it is a centrifuge type set up, spinning vertical not horizontal, then the wiggle of foam and latex do the rest of the work.

That would be a good effect for an electric chair prop as well.

Yes, H.A. does rock!
This one by distortions stopped my clock the other day. Fantastic-
The only, only thing that holds me up from investing in these and the other vibrating, rocking, and giggling props from them is the cost. You get an amazing looking and well built prop for sure, but the animation is too one dimensional for me personally for the cost. But I'm gonna guess they all will sell like HOT CAKES. The detail of the props themselves is stunning.
