I have finished my cauldron after looking at so many really fine pieces of information here on "Halloween Forum" and made just a few adjustments that helped in the set up. The first pictures are of the base made from R-40 3/4" pink foam, the clear plastic bottles, different sizes because you want that uneven hot coal effect under your cauldron.By the way the foam was cut 20" by 20". From there I lay the lights down on the board covered the lights with the cut plastice bottles and left a gap in the middle it allowed for the tube for the fogger and the electrical to run.
From there I used a can of Great Stuff and let it sit up over night. Afterwards I sprayed the foam with black spray paint and set my cauldron on top. Here are the pictures and you can see how the back looks it gave me room for any adjustments I might need to make.
The motor inside sits on a small wood platformI made and the red light is 40 watts. I have has the light on for hours and it does not get hot. The tube from the fogger comes through the bottom of the pot.
And here you go with lights out and the fogger on a little dark but you get the idea. Let me know what you think, THANKS !

Looks great, Deadview.
I suggest lightly dry brushing some grey and white paint over your coals. Other wise, looks like it's going to work out well for you.

At weddings, my Aunts would poke me in the ribs and cackle "You're next!". They stopped when I started doing the same to them at funerals.

Thanks for the paint idea I'll give it a try and post the results. I still got to work on my stirring ghoul.

If you go lightly, you can also dust the white & gray with a rattle can. I'm going to revamp my cauldron (Again??? Yes, again), a little later this year. My intent is to have my creep appear to stir the cauldron as if by magic without touching the stirring stick.
