Well, I have begun my work on my caretaker Malachai. He is a work in progress, please keep that in mind!

the eyes are 1 inch wood dowel covers painted white with pupils from Lauriebeast's tut

The base layer of clay after a thin layer of celuclay. (clay is grey, flash gives it the green look)

He is starting to take shape. He is basically how I want him, but there are a lot of the details bugging me before I finalize him and smooth him out.

It's looking great, and looks like it would be a fun prop to make.

Thanks everyone. This is difficult for me because I am not a patient person! I finished sculpting him the way I want. I made him slightly exaggerated in the features to show age. I like his eyes are off a little. I have to wait for him to dry so I can do paint and hair. I am thinking of giving him the George C. Scott as Scrooge treatment for hair. The different colors in the picture is because 1 is with light on him, the other with the led flash in the camera which makes him look green. The clay is a natural clay that is grey and dries white.

Sweet! He's come a loooong way! George C. Scott in "Patton" would have been awesomely scary too.

The great thing about tedious tasks, is that they'll give more tolerance for that sort of thing. Sort of like building up with clay. The more you give, the more you have in the end
