As part of my ongoing prop refresh, the Creature is getting a facelift.
Here is the before prop.
Here is the new head that will be installed (the 'install' will be quite Dr. Frankenstein-ish)
Once again, I'm hoping that improved techniques have made the sculpture more life-like (or dead-like) and more effective.

Looks great! I thought the old version looked good, too!

Thanks Dave.
I think it's a combination of being board in the winter months and trying to improve the quality of the displays.
When I look at some of the older stuff now, it makes me cringe sometimes.
Of course the flip side is, if everything continues to evolve, Next year I'll look at 2012 props and think 'yuck, what was I thinking, I could do better'Doctor Grim

I have some pictures where the flash was used. It washes out some color, but it also highlights some areas.
I got an airbrush recently, so I'm trying some vein details (I think mostly in vain
)

I'm impressed I love making moving props but I'm weak on static props I hope mine will come out like that some day

UPDATE:
The new creature head was attached to the existing body, also the fabric covered arms were sculpted.
I'm still pondering things such as hair and skin colouring. Maybe some bio-mechanical parts ('metal' plates etc.)
I may need to play with the movement a bit more as well.
