Dont do it! get real casting latex. it is so much better, getting inferior materials can lead to projects that take to long or are unsuccessful. what you are doing is what casting latex was made for. right tool for the right job.

Floor latex is more of a glue and dries tacky / sticky. not something I would recommend.

That's exactly what I thought, the carpet latex would remain tacky, that's what it is designed for.
Check E-bay if you don't find any here.

I have never done corpsing before, so I don't know how it works, but if its anything like what I do, then this will work great.

Take a tube of chaulking, and pour a bit of house-hold ammonia in it. mix well, and wala! you've got homemade latex. You can use regular house paint to dye it if you want. It dries rubbery, holds the color, and last long.
