    OK, call me crazy (it's okay really, I probably am crazy), but I've redone the stirring witch face once again since Halloween 2011.

    I liked the 2011 revision for about 30 minutes, so I went back to the drawing board for this face;

    This is an improvement (I hope). It has a mean look, better color, more interesting. Black hair needs to be added still. The 2011 1st generation will become a sister, static witch, so no worries.

    This is an old prop that has been refined through the years, here's a brief history.

    2007-2009 was a Walmart mask, foam filled. The witch stirred, but the head didn't turn.
    2010 - 11 was a paper mache, model magic version, it was ok, but looked more like a old woman, rather than a classic witch.
    2011 both versions are paper mache and model magic, the second iteration has air brush application.

    Thanks!

    Forgot to mention that 2010-11 version was stripped and scrapped down, the head base was used to make the newest witch head.

    This year I'm going to try to replace/redo many older props, with new sculptured faces, hands etc. There are some store bought items that I'm still very fond of and will remain, but some masks are either ineffective, not scary or have been seen too many times.

    At least with home made stuff, it's unique and not available anywhere else, even if it's not very good.

    I would have thought your new 2011 was store bought. It's an amazing and scary sculpt. WOW!

    Looks great! If you end up retiring the paper mache and return to a mask, I would suggest these guys. Never needed a witch mask, but whenever I think about one, they are the first to come to mind. They are all available in Green or White with pale, blank or detailed eyes and different hairstyless and colours.
