Thread: Tombstone pepper progress!

Hi all,

As im waiting for my mechanics for my swaying prop one prop i wanted to do with the vent motors that i got on sale was a tombstone peeper! I changed my design up alittle differently then others ive seen! I shortened my motor linkage piece so that the skull didnt disappear completly. I want it to show its full skull then have it lower so you just see the eyeballs and forehead. that to me seemed like a peeper! Next i made a seperate full arm armature for the skeleton are which isnt painted yet. The arm is static and spreads over the name on the tombstone! Completed video will come soon! Please let me know what you think and i have a few questions ill ask periodicly!

This looks fantastic! I'd love to see the finished video. I'm just starting to look into making motorized props for the first time, this looks like something I could build!

There is the video for the finished prouct! theres a few minor tweaks and its got alittle noise on the down side of the rotation which will be a djusted but im happy with it
heres another picture to show it at its lowest point and that its more of a peeping skeleton!

Thanks everyone! I like the arm myself! it was a last minute thing but it turned out greay!

The colors aew usually how i do m corpsed black and then dry brushed gray.. like tombstones!

did you paint the blue on the eyes or is it paper with a high gloss finish?.... anyways, looks awesome

the eyes are from skeleton factory! the blue clear eyeballs!
