I was not sure where to post this so Moderator please adjust location accordingly and thank you.

Hi gang, I am trying to come up with a logo such as a figure or picture, which could include the haunt name, that I can use for props, t-shirts and local advertising for my home haunt. We don't charge admission but I want to put out flyers and maybe a newspaper ad with the name and logo to get our attendance up next year. The logo would be used on t-shirts for the volunteers and myself and our facade, also some props inside the haunt could be emblazed with this design. Obviously our name is Beggar's Alley and we are a brick house located on a residential alley if that makes a differece.

Our name came from the first time we made front page of the local paper. They used a big photo of our cemtery display to announce the hours for beggar's night and told people to check out the elaborate decorating at house on the alley with our street address. So we named ourselves Beggar's Alley.

I pictured using a scary cloaked beggar panhandling or the haunt name in a creepy graffiti on a chunk of brick wall but am open to ideas.

We are not very gory but also not afraid of gore and had many who ran back out of the front of our haunt crying after visiting the first room. I would say 8yrs old and older did better this year but the younger kids were too frightened. So I am not looking for a kid friendly, happy faced logo really.

It would be great to see some pics if you are artistic enough to whip something up but I would enjoy written ideas too.

    How about:

An alley and at the end is a figure. The figure can be a person with a knife, a zombie, ghost, any thing you would like. The pavement area would be where your name goes. The look is like that is one place you would not want to walk down.

    Great ideas!
BeaconSamurai That would work great for a webpage background design.

Empty W I think that could be a cool sign. I did an industrial theme this year and that would have been AMAZING! Hindsight I guess, huh.

I just realized all of the replies to this thread are coming from NY. You guys must just be a little more awake than the rest of us. I should have known someone from NY would come through quickly, my wife was born in Cooperstown and she always comes back with something quick whenever I mention the haunt. JK

That looks great ctarpey! What were you thinking for the animation part of the scene? And I use a laptop so I just tilted the computer.

Do you have any high resolution pics of the "alley" exterior (preferably with any props used for the haunt visible)? Photoshop has some filters such as colored pencil, dry brush, crosshatch, chalk & charcoal that could be applied to pic then overlaid with a logo. If you can add a pic link, I'll see what I can come up with for you.
