I have an American DJ Fog Storm 1700 that I bought last year. I kind of caught some flak from the wife for buying such an expensive fogger but justified it by saying I wouldn't have to replace it every year like the cheap ones. This year I built a casket fog chiller much like the one I linked to below. It ran fine for the first part of the night but I noticed at some point that it wasn't running. I figured it was low on fog juice and had automatically cut itself off. But when I checked it out, it still had plenty of fog left. Being in the casket though, it was almost constantly engulfed in fog and it had left the machine with a layer of fog juice film. I'm thinking this might have shorted something out. Any suggestions?

Does the machine heat up at all? If not are there any fuses on the unit that you can check to see if they have blown? If it heats up do you hear the pump activate? Which fog fluid are you using?
On another note I never run my fogger in an small enclosed environment as there is a risk of it over heating. Plus I dont want my temperature calibration to be thrown off and overheat my fog and cause it to release toxic chemicals.

I just plugged it in for about 10 minutes and didn't feel any heat. No fuses that I know of, just one breaker that I've already checked.

At the parts store for this fogger: http://parts.americandj.com/Products...STORM%201700HD there is no fuse to buy so I'd bet there isn't a fuse or else they would offer it for sale like they do for the 1200HD. I would email tech support at ADJ and ask them what they think. I have a running dialog going on with them right now trying to fix an issue with my 1200HD and they've been great about getting back to me same day with advise and suggestions.
