i was the goodwill today and found the wire wrapped in foam, i mean i knew it had to be a wire under it for it to bend and hold shape, but it had like a foam for padding, i know this is a seriously dumb question, but i have no clue what the name is and how to get more of it. I hope my expanation makes sense. i am building in a pumpkin scarecrow,(2012) and was thinking of making it a spider using the foam wire as arms, at the end of each spider leg, a differant carved pumpkin. trying to make the ultimate pumpkin lord thing. anyway thank you sooo much, this may be the dumbest post on HF

well you cant see wire at all, it is all foam and i assume it is wire, but it is about 2 feet long. i never seen anythng like this one tv, since i posted i have been trying to find what it is and the closest thing I found was this. you know those thing that people put between there legs and try to close as an exercise, jeez i know it sounds dumb, but the the foam things on it look exactly like what i have except a differatn color. Maybe it dont have a name,

That's what I thought he's talking about too:

Can't remember the brand name, but fairly certain that I bought a two-pack of them at the local Ace Hardware last year. Useful for holding gates open and for hanging things.

The leg exerciser is Thigh Master. The wires I am thinking of are much smaller and are used to twist tie up large objects. I tried to find my package but it's so cold the lights in the garage won't come on They started as an As Seen On Tv item but that was long ago...maybe they are called Bendy Ties or something like that.

    Recommendation:

Go buy solid core bare copper wire, the kind used for grounding electrical work, or solid core steel wire like galvanized fencing wire. Slide some vinyl tubing over it, the kind you find in the plumbing aisles. Or regular tubing, doesn't need to be vinyl. Hell you could use surgical tubing if you find it.
