    Yet another exploding fuse box!

I just couldn’t help myself this year at taking a stab at the exploding fuse box a lot of member have been building. One thing I noticed was that as people presented their works, the props became more complex and I not wanting to break tradition attempted to do the same.

The images and video below are of my build on this prop and what I thought would not be a problem to build, certainly kept me on my problem solving toes. What I thought would be a large enough breaker box was quickly devoid of any extra room which prevented me from adding a strobe light inside but all and all I am proud of how it turned out. I was able to conceal my controller lines and the air line in flexible conduit and fed fast dissipating Froggy’s Fog into the box thru the attached black plastic tube making it look real. The black marks you see on its face are where I had to weld reinforcing metal and hinges to the back side of the panel because it was hitting so hard. I was going to clean it up and repaint it but in the end I thought it added to the effect.

Anyway, here you guys go… May I present to you Mark Goodson’s rendering of the exploding fuse box.

    RIDICULOUS

Just shaking my head here. Amazed, jealous, and astounded.

    RIDICULOUS.

The only thing I can think to suggest, is blacken up the plywood behind it with a propane torch to look like the heat of the overloaded box burned the wall!

    Aside from that, phenomenal job!!!

    Very impressive - Nice Job.
Light and shadow has a profound effect on our perception of reality....which makes Halloween lighting so much fun! Danno
