Hi Fellow Haunters!
I hope that you all had a fantastic Halloween! I know I did! I have always decorated for Halloween but this year was the first year that I actually made something for my yard. Looking around on the web, I gathered many fantastic ideas and tutorials (especially Terra's!) for tombstones. So
this was my first try. I had so much fun making them, however, I didn't uses Monster Mud because I afraid that it would look like stone. So I put a layer of Quickrete on them. I liked the overall look but the Quickrete started to chip off! Next year I need to use Monster Mud I guess. Does anybody know how to make it look like stone also does it make the tombstone heavier?

Outstanding! Especially the Madame's tombstone. I've always loved the following eyes trick, classic & yet never grows old.

Great stones. I especially like Leota. How did you make her face?
You asked about what use to give a stone look. You can use Dryloc. It has what looks like sand mixed into the paint. It gives the surface a stone like appearance when dry and also waterproofs your stones. It can also be used on wood. It will cover the wood grain and make it look like stone as well. Hope that helps.View photos of my haunt on flickr at http://www.flickr.com/photos/69476554@N06/

I just found a picture of her face online. I cut out the eyes and had the face laminated!
