I posted a reply but I do not see it again...are you using VSA to play your routines? If so I usually do a wave analysis on the colored light or lights for a sound as in your case a moan. Use the markers they are so much help and speeds up the programming of the lights. A Joystick is also another great tool for programming lights.

    DMX SETUP IN VSA Video

Attached is a link from one of the members Buckaneerdude showing how to set up VSA and also set up for lights in DMX. Terra also has another tutorial.

Ok I looked into it and I think it would be cheaper let alone easier to do a lightning effect with firefly.

Scratch that I figured out how I could do dmx with only 2 light to do my whole haunt. How do I program dmx with audio though I am trying to do a lightning effect.

Take a look at my video, showing how to use the Medusa DMX board to control LEDs. Whether or not you use a Medusa board to control lighting, it'll give you and idea how to set up VSA to use DMX lighting.

Also, regarding the WaveMotion Analysis, take a look at these two videos #1 (WaveMotion at 0:30), and #2, to see what this feature can do with lighing.

Ha! Very clever! I never thought of using VSA or WaveMotion Analysis for lighting.

Alright let me see if I got this right. So step one I need to buy a dmx control box and dmx led lights. Then install vsa on my desktop computer and hook up the dmx control box to my computer. After that I need to plug the lights into the box then I am ready to start doing dmx routines correct?
