I actually bought the Obelisk and Bellicose (the flying guy prop) from Eric (Vilethings). Your prop is pretty close. I know how much work its been! I did a bunch of work to improve the great work Eric did on it including upgrading the controller to a picoboo with audio and larger air cylinders for the opening.
From talking with Eric, life took over for him and his time for such things took a back seat. His work is amazing! I did manage to rip his entire site before it went down. Got it archived somewhere.

@ibjeepin - That's so cool that you have the originals of the obelisk and Bellicose. I'm very envious! I don't think I have his entire site, but I do have a habit of creating PDF's of stuff I like so I have it for later, so I have several of his projects as well as pictures and videos saved.
@bamtunebam - Somewhere, I remember seeing someone had archived his entire site. Not sure where though. here are some other pics.

Cool yep thats them, I also got the flying skeleton. I was talking with eric on getting the fence and the lamp guy but he never finished the discussions. He became very busy in life, which is a real shame as his talents are amazing! His Corkus work was something I wish I had the time and talent to do! Corkus is the second and fifth picture above the second being the one in the obelisk.
Nah i ripped the entire site with a product called offline explorer. His site was offline for a while then he put it back up, so I thought that the info on how he built them was invaluable as a reference. I will attach a 2011 video when i can convert.

Eric sold me a set of the old man head and hands when I was going to build a cripple prop like Brent's at DC. I still think I might this year. He did great work! I archived the whole site and lost it... if anyone has it I'd love to trip down memory lane again.
Here's mine:

I'm going to get this done by next year dang it!Jeff

Looks great. I would love to do pneumatic props but dont have the budget. Fortunately the right spring will replace the cylinder but you need a way to lock it down before you want it to pop up

It's been a few years since I've even heard Vile Things mentioned. I'm glad someone remembers. Excellent job on the obelisk!
