One of my future themes that I'm working on is a jungle theme. Love to hear of any masks you guys have come across that would work well for any "people" props that I could build. Trying to keep this on the lower end of masks BTW.
I'll share the two masks I've already bought in case others of you are thinking of doing a similar theme or curious what I've already bought for this theme.
last year I bought this great mask from Halloween Asylum called Guarani. They have it in stock now and it's on sale. Great looking mask and full headed to boot.
I just bought the POTC Quartermaster Deluxe mask from BuyCostumes on clearance and it arrived today. I think it will be a great addition as well. It's still on clearance and in stock apparently. Plus right now BuyCostumes has an additional 35% off offer on their blowout and clearance halloween items, Code: clear35 thru 11/6. See website for details.
Hoping you guys have suggestions for more village people!

Here's one that I happened to notice while browsing on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HALLOWEEN-EV...#ht_1079wt_955

Ghost of Spookie,
Just a thought, you could pick up some wooden tribal masks pretty cheap from one of the many home goods stores like Cost Plus World Market, Pier One or maybe even Ross, Marshalls or TG Max.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, all good ones.
I've seen that voodoo mask before Saruman, and Really like it and kind of forgot about it. Unfortunately it's more than I can realistically see myself paying for it since I only do a yard set up for about 100 kids or so. Probably looking more in the range of $20-30 or less if I can get something at that price. Might work however if I can find it used, at a reduced price. I'll keep an eye out for it now that you've brought it to my attention. I have a few Gemmy Spirit white haired guys, that will be hooked up to mp3s for audio tracks, that I want to use as the underlying talking heads and having a few good masks to use on top of them will really help bring life to the scene and hopefully surprise the kids (actors are hard to come by).
Kimcfadd, the wooden mask suggestion might actually work for me, at least on a few props. I can see adding glowing LED frosted eyeballs to it that would look great in the dark. Last year I picked up a few pieces of tribal art from Goodwill that I thought looked spooky and cool that might get used in this theme. If nothing else thought I could use as patterns for signage. I don't think anything I bought would fit as a face mask however, but I'm going to start looking at CostPlus and such for wooden masks. As long as it can be painted and attached to the "face" of the tribal prop guy, it could definitely work. Plus I wouldn't have to worry that much about the prop needing a real face under it. Thanks!
If anyone comes across anything else along these lines during the year, please remember this thread and come back and post here. I'll be working on this throughout the year. I know "jungle tribal man" isn't that popular of a catagory so don't expect to find too many things out there. Thanks again guys.

Missed out on seeing this post before someone bought it. Thanks for thinking of me though. I ended up picking up a Dr. Grim mask with skull necklace on clearance from HA which is described as voodoo. Not sure if I would think of this one as jungle though, more haunted bayou (which would go fine with my swamp theme).

Not really a mask but you could have an actor with a ghille suit on that matches the trees or bushes you chose to put in this room.
