I thought I would post this in case anyone has a problem with a 1300 , like I did on Halloween night. My fogger wasn't producing smoke , the heater and the pump were both running. So as I'm taking it apart a friend drops by who happens to be good with motors and such . We can see it's not sucking fluid. He takes apart the pump , which is not that complicated if your a little handy. We find a small piece of teflon tape on a spring within the pump. We remove it and blow out everything . Before putting it back together we put the hose in the tank and press the fog button on the back so it would draw fluid. After a little sputtering it starts spitting fluid out. After some high fiving we finish putting it back together and test it. Sure nuff we have fog!!! I hope this may help someone with same problem.

Thanks. I have a 1300 that worked flawlessly, but nice to keep in mind for next year. A one year old cheapie K Mart that I use for the witch display broke down, however, and could well be the same issue.

Thanks Sychoclown! After this Halloween's low fog disaster with my weak fog machine, I searched reviews and then ran out and bought the Hurricane 1300. All the lights are on, pump and heater sound like they're working, fluids are good, but no output. I'm going to try to clean it and run it on better quality fog juice, but my problem sounds a lot like yours. Hoping I can be as handy and fix the problem. I seem to have bad karma for good quality fog. Thanks for the post.

I have a Chauvet 1700...had the same problem ..pump wasn't working...don't be afraid to take it apart...you can't really hurt it...it doesn't work anyway...and don't forget to unplug it first. and yes it worked after i cleaned the pump.
