I bought a wiper motor and 12V power supply from monster guts...using it in a cocoon victim and one out of four times when the motion sensor triggers the power instead of the normal full motion, the motor starts/stops for 2-10 seconds then starts the normal non-stop rotary motion. I have a set of computer speakers connected to the same home depot flood light motion sensor and they trigger every time. When I directly plug it in to an outlet it still will do it but less frequently. Any suggestions? Thanks

It sounds like a bad connection. I have had a similar issue this year with a wiper motor but I power mine with a trickle charger. I ended up just wiggling the cord a bit and even simply pulled it out a tiny bit from the plug on my extension cord. I got lucky and am now up and running. Hope you get lucky with a easy fix. If you have a test light you should be able to test your connection when it trips. I should note though that I am not familiar with the monster guts motor as I pick mine up at a auto wreckers for 10 bucks each.

I've had loose connections on the MG power supplies over the years. Sometimes you can slightly bend the pin on the PS cord (turn off the power first and drain the circuit). I've reached the point where I just cut the connectors off and crimp on my own quick connects. Never have a problem with those.
Boo!

Thanks Jack...planning on shutting the clinic early today so hopefully I'll have enough time to get home and put some new connectors on
