I have 6 solenoids. I can't get any of them to work, so I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. They work when I use the manual override. My problem is with the wiring. The solenoids are 12v 250mA. The power supplies I have are 12v 500mA. When I connect the wires the attached pneumatic cylinder does not do anything. I've tried swithching the wires and I've tried multiple power supplies.

I've attached pics, but the set-up is straightforward. I'm wondering if I've blown all the relays somehow. Any ideas are appreciated?

First think to check is AC or DC....make sure your Valves and power supplies are the same.

If your valves say DC make sure you use DC power supplies and if the valves are AC make sure you use AC

Thanks Madmax. The solenoids are 12v DC and the power supply's output is 12v DC. The sad thing is I had this same issue 2 years ago. Last year I moved over Halloween weekend, so I didn't use the solenoids. I thought I'd figure it out before I needed them, but thanks to my long history of procrastinating, I find myself having trouble again on Halloween.

I would put a meter on the PS and make sure it's working. It might be bad.

Check the pressure coming in to the solenoid, some require a minium pressure to work. I would change the power supply to a higher amperage. If it is only 500 ma and the solenoids are drawing 250 ma, it won't take long to overload the power supply. You can't go too high on amperage. Also che4ck the coils on the solenoids and make sure they aren't shorted or have a break in the wire. Is the cylinder good? Hope this helps

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to pack everything up, but keep out a couple sets of the solenoids/powers supplies to test.
