Actually, my 16 year old volunteered for this job. He preferred to reach down from the roof top, rather than to climb that high on the ladder. We're hanging burlap (landscape fabric from Walmart) under the soffits on the house. I have hooks under there already, I use them for my Xmas lights. I stained the burlap with coffee but I still want it to be a shade darker so I will (carefully) spray shading with black paint. I don't want to permanently darken the house.

As long as the 16 year old was compensated with chocolate- it's fine.
