So I built my scarecrow (a video posted later, I never got a good one I'll try for one tomorrow - it's snowing here now! In Maryland! Nuts!) and after I started I saw Teabag34's scarecrow (killer prop!) and it really inspired me... so, I decided that I'd be a killer scarecrow for halloween.
I finially finished it all up last night around 2am. Here's what I got. The barbed wire on over the mouth was really inspired by teabag. I dont know what his 'crow has, but at first glance I thought it was barbed wire. Which sounded awesome. So I went with that. Loved the hat as well. Unfortunately, I didnt have time to make the burlap duster, so I'll be going without that this year.
The glove, that was totally ripped off of Husk, a pretty damn good afterdark horror film (and thats saying a lot - most of those are garbage). About haunted/killer scarecrows... their weapon of choice is to drive nails through the fingers of thier left hand and slash you to bits with it. So, I cut some nails in half, soldered them to a piece of copper pipe that fit over my finger, stuffed it in a glove, bloodied it up, and... viola!

Seriously man, your scarecrow is one of the best I've ever seen. I couldnt NOT rip off most of the ideas. It's extremely dark and sinister looking. I only wish I had the time to make the jacket/duster. I was going to go with jeans and a dirty green shirt, but I may go black jeans, boots, and a black button down shirt I have - I kinda like how it dresses him up - makes him more sinister than a cornfield prop... Well, I MAY add a rope around the neck, not sure, gotta see how it looks and how much time I have before the party tonight.
Damn I wish I had time to make a jacket. The black shirt and pants don't look right without it.
Ghosttown: Awesome start? It's a mask and gloves, it's done. :P My scareprow prop for the yard is all done

Haha... I was worried that the nails I did didnt line up right (we all critique our own work too much, we see flaws no one else does). I went to look up an image I saw to post it, from the movie, to show how they did it... and looking at the image, THEIR nails arent lined up right either! The index finger nail is nowhere near aligned correctly.
Now I feel better - even the movie SFX guys couldnt get it right... heh...

oops... my bad. I didn't read the whole thing, only bits of it. I thought you were completely duplicating teabags prop.
