Here's an animated Raven that I created for this year.

I'd always wanted one of my own, so this project became this year's priority. There are a few similar Ravens at various places on the web, and I did draw on their ideas while designing this one- but it took a while, I'll bet a month of tinkering around with fiberglass, armatures, servos, and then various design issues that come up when doing custom work.

The 4 servos are controlled by a board from Blue Point Engineering.

He works pretty well, don't you think? He'll be on a perch, close to the front door, helping to usher the kids to see "Bootstrap Billy", a skeleton that will be illuminated by some timely lightning strikes!

Very nicely done. Have always loved ravens.
