    If your asking if you can use two boards/boxes side by side, then sorry that's not an option, it may be an option on DMXorcist 2, but since I've not made much progress on that program in over a year then don't wait for it, that project is frustratingly close to being finished, but has got some serious reliability problems!
    so it is currently limited to 8 inputs? I could have sworn it has a multiple simultaneous box options in my version with the original exorcist boxes, or was that a part that was scrapped?

    With a Mk2 board you can use 15/16 inputs, and newer version of the software reflect this.

    There was an early intention to make Exorcist work with multiple boxes, but it never got implemented as there was nobody really demanding it, and it was too much of a pain to implement.

    I have stranded cable.. where do you get your DMX connectors to use with the cat5 cable? Also, is there a schematic for the wiring to the 3-pin and/or 5-pin connectors?

    @Pheonix,

    I am guessing you are writing this in .net C#? If it was Java I would love to help. I found a few Java native apis for DMX stuff, until I came across your stuff I was thinking of some sort of Java base DMX software, so that it might work on the various platforms.

    As for computer, I have a 6-core AMD with 16GB ram, a quad-core with 12GB, and am building an 8-core AMD soon as bulldozer 2 hits the shelves in a few months with either 16GB or 32GB of memory. However, these are my main work/dev/video editing machines. I was thinking along the lines of my netbook or older dual-core 1.2Ghz laptop running the show. But.. with long enough cables (especially using cat5), I'd rather run it from my main computer. Assuming I could run it from the quad core or 6 core.. is that not enough power to handle several DMX components?

    Actually its written in VB.NET, I too up writing android apps earlier this year which is pretty much Java.

    Your computer spec sounds like it should be OK, hell the application was written for use on single core XP laptops about 4 years ago, and has only got better with the new multi core machines, because its multi threaded....Exorcist 2 takes multi threading to a new level.

    There is little need for a pinout on XLR connectors as its all pin to pin, the only thing to make sure of is that you use a twisted pair for the 2/3 and 4/5 pins
