Greetings all,
I am searching for a retail outlet that might sell a product similar to these http://www.jackstoolshed.com/index/p...ext=led+swivel ...
Do you know where I might be able to pick these up at a brick and mortar store...no time for online purchases

I think one of the dollar stores has these, but I think they are all white instead of colored. Before I bought some of these I came across some 'ring lights' which are very similar, you might also check to see if there is a party supply store or one of those rave/goth type stores.

I know our local Dollar Tree had them in blue and red. But I think they were the type that strap on to your finger with velcro.

I also purchased a USB Flex LED light (like for a laptop) earlier. It's a white LED and I haven't hacked it.... yet. Because it uses a metal flex arm, I'm thinking it will be easier to aim at a prop. I'm hoping I can come up with a way to power it for a project next year. They had a bunch of these. But I only bought one for testing.

These are not easy to find retail anymore. However:

Radio Shack, in the "ridiculous knick knack gadgets" bins. Most of the RS in our area have clearanced this section out a long time ago. It may be the finger strap or fiber optic wand versions though.

Non-Dollar Tree dollar stores.

Party supply stores, including Party City, in the party favors aisle.

The only other thing remotely like this are the Life Gear LED glowsticks that Home Depot, Office Depot, and some Targets carry. They are, unfortunately, $5 apiece! Some Sears locations have Dorcy LED glowsticks for $3. Both kinds, the "stick" can be taken off.
