    Hey Guys;

    So I'm almost done setting up my haunt, but stuck on a new spot lighting issue. I havn't ever used green before, my haunt is blue/red but I wanted to do green on my new breathing grave prop.

    So what I normally do in this particular section of my haunt is the 36 blue LED lights up the section indicated on the tombstones. I added the green to the right of it because it had a short length cable and it just worked at the time without having to buy more outdoor cable, etc. Essentially, it's pointed pretty low at the dirt patch area to light it up.

    Anyways, it doesn't really work the way I want it. The green kinda washes out the blue because they are the same path basically. I need some ideas on where to put this green spot to shine JUST on the dirt grave area. It's almost like it has to be above in the air pointed down or something. However there's no where to put this like on the house or anything.

    Only idea I had was there is a tombstone to the right you can't see...maybe put it behind there and point it left towards the dirt, but that may wash it out too. Argh!!

    You could always just get a length of rebar, pound it into the ground and zip tie the spotlight to it, at the angle and height that you want.

    You think that would work huh? and not slide down it somehow? I guess it's worth a try and put it right next to the tombstone and aim in downwards....

    I don't know if it'll work, but it seems like a simple solution. *shrug*

    I am all about concealing where the light comes from as much as possible. Maybe you could move your 18" Green light directly in front of the dirt (not sure how long your cable is, you mentioned short). Say about 2 ft in front and direct it towards the dirt and grave. You could place the light similarly to how you have it now, but then place something over it. Like a cardboard box (obviously with one side open to let the light out). Then add some dirt to extend out and cover the box as well, except for the opening. If there is too much of a bulge, then you could dig a section of grass out to lower the light. I would still expect to get some wash from the blue, as its location is still in front. But at least the Green LED would be closer and may illuminate better. Maybe put the blue behind the tombstone to shine on all your other graves behind your drit grave. (I realize that may not be a solution either if you don't have the cable).

    You could also play with strings of Green LED and outline the dirt (but not sure that would look too well). But a cheap solution.

    Either way... looks like it should be pretty cool regardless. Good luck!!!

    How about you move a short tombstone in front of the blue lightpath so it'll be blocked but be sure the tombstone is as close to the breathing grave as possible. In essence it's sheilding the breathing grave from the blue light.. Then place the green light right behind that short tomsbtone to light up the breathing grave.

    There's no tree near by, and terra good idea except two things; one I don't have another tombstone atm..no time..and two the blue light needs to light up the graveyard not necessarily shield it. Not sure if u were implying that or not.

    I could try raising it in the air..but it'll be noticeable which is the unfortunite part.

    Here's a picture that may help explain it. See how the horse is halved vertically with red light on the left side and blue light on the right? The angel tombstone is blocking part of the blue light's path so the red light (that's at the base of the horse) can show true. If that light wasn't blocked off, it would look purple like what you see in the front of the horse - but all over the horse.

    So, use anything, a rock - a cheap Walgreen's groundbreaker to block off some of the blue light path and place the green light just behind it.
