Some of you might remember a post I made a couple weeks ago about the prop I was making to look like a zombie about to leap off the overhang above my door. I wasn't thrilled with the way he was turning out in that post, and I was really surprised that so many people here thought I was nuts for not liking him. LOL
Anyway, I finally went to the store to get the mechanisms to attach him to the roof today and the hubby and I were about to put him up when we realized he was probably too heavy to be safe to have up there. I made him out of pretty light weight materials, but I guess the weight adds up with each layer of paper mache and paint. hehe He probably would have been fine, but since we weren't absolutely sure that we wouldn't get a day with major gusts of wind or something before Halloween, we decided we wouldn't risk it because if he rocked too much, it might actually be able to pull up the metal roof thing he'd be attached to.
So, he won't be on our roof this year, instead we put up the character we always put up there, which is just disappointing for me. We're still going to find a place to use this Leaper prop that we've named Krunk somewhere in the haunt, though. ... I'm actually still not fond of him though, and I'm thinking about selling him after Halloween. Do you guys think anybody would want to buy something like this or should I just trash him?
Here's how he turned out:
He's actually not shiny, he's finished with a mat lacquer that only seems to shine like that when you take pics with a flash. :P lol

I think he looks cool, but if you don't like him, don't sell him. Perhaps someone on here can give you ideas of how to spruce him up, or to redo him so that you will like him better.

Hehe, Nah, I don't want to spruce him up. He's too big to store in the house actually. I would rather sell or give him to somebody who will enjoy him than worry about him getting eaten by mice in the garage. But I'm not sure there is anybody who would even want him. He may just be destined for the recycling bin after Halloween. We'll see.
Thanks though, I'm glad you like him.
