I made 2 new witches this year, well, 1 1/2, the 2nd witch is a make over,, but she looks way different,,,, so I count her as new, LOL!
well, the one with the apple in her hand has a deer motor and her hand moves up and down with the apple, I tried to get a video of her, but my camera appears to not work for that,,,,,it was so windy, that her sleeve kept blowing open so you can see a bit of the motor... her head is a foam wig head, sculpted with celluclay. and paper clay, the second one is made the same way but is static,,, had plans for one more, but never got time to finish her,,, so a new prop for next year started!

Very cool! The huge toad is awesome too. And great job with the faces.

I would've loved to see the deer motor detail - I've been wondering if there's a way to make that work and it sounds like you figured it out. There's hope.

well, I am not a expert by any means, GobbyGruesome,so if I got it, any one can,,,, the biggest problem I had was keeping the motor from moving, had a old dress form that I screwed the motor to,,and used plastic plumbers tape and used that to screw it to it also,,, but ended up at the last minute using a big strip tie or what ever they are called to mak it more secure,,then attached the metal part that goes to the neck area of the deer to the arm/pool noodles , it moved pretty good,,,, a bit to the side,,, and not quite as much as I wanted, but it did move enough, so it is a success for me,,,

That's great, Bethene! I got a kick out of seeing one offering passers-by an apple. Reminded me of the witch/evil queen in Snow White. I may have to borrow that idea!

P.S. I have to use safety pins to control clothing and keep my witches on the roof from showing too much leg when it gets windy. Don't want my Creatures of the Night to look like Ladies of the Night.
